Our monthly Sisters Book Club meeting took place at Lillie’s Bed and Breakfast. It was on Tuesday, July 8.
Mrs. Lillie sure knows how to cook. When I tell you the food was breathtaking, I thought I was there for Sunday dinner.
Let me stop talking about food and talk about our mouth-dropping book for July. It is “Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt,” by Beth Hoffman.
It is about strong Southern women who live in Savannah, Georgia, with eccentric ideas.
If you have not read this book, get it. You will laugh and cry on every page.
The book we will be reading for August is also a good read. It is called, “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” by Zora Neale Hurston.
