The eighth Charleston Mayor's Charity Ball was held March 30 in Alford's Gym on the campus of Charleston Middle School.

The Charity Ball, benefiting the local American Cancer Society, featured a buffet-style meal, a formal program of speakers and entertainment by local musical group SLASH, as well as Charles "CC" Carter of Petal.

Tickets are now available for the eighth Charleston Mayor’s Charity Ball, set for Saturday, March 30, at 6 p.m., in Alford’s Gym on the campus of Charleston Middle School.
Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at Charleston City Hall and the Charleston Arts Center, aka CARE building.
