WEBB — The West Tallahatchie Choctaws open first-round playoff action Friday night on the road at Greenville O’Bannon.

O’Bannon (10-1) is the champion of Region 3-2A while West Tally (7-4) is the No. 4 seed in Region 2-2A.

Strider puts up 30 points in season finale

The Strider Academy Rams closed the 2015 varsity football season with their biggest scoring output, but still fell 50-30 at Central Academy in Macon.

Strider ends the year 0-11 and Macon at 2-6.

Rams begin basketball Nov. 5

STRIDER — Al four of the Strider Academy Rams’ basketball teams will begin play on Thursday, Nov. 5, with home contests against the Humphreys Academy Rebels.

The action will begin at 4 p.m. in the Donna Burford Gymnasium with the junior high girls’ game.
