Members of Charleston High School’s boys and girls track and field teams pose with the Division 3-2A trophies after winning that meet on April 13 in Clarksdale. The Charleston women rolled to victory at Clarksdale, accumulating 235 team points to more than triple the 64 points of second-place finisher North Side High School. The CHS men also turned in a dominating performance, scoring 176.50 team points to far outpace second-place North Side, which had 115 points. Charleston’s ladies captured first place in 14 events, while the guys did so in 11 events. All CHS athletes qualified to move on to the regional meet, held April 18 in Winona.
