Philipp United sets pastoral event
Philipp United Missionary Baptist Church, 20 Cleveland Ave., Philipp, will host the last night of its three-day celebration honoring the 11th year of service by pastor Betty and Winfred Hamilton on Thursday, July 23, at 7. Rev. Rodney Richard will be the speaker. Festivities climax on Sunday, July 26, with an 11:15 a.m. service with minister Charlotte Burton as speaker and a 2 p.m. service with pastor John Frieson as speaker.

Frierson Chapel planning revival
Frierson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 5463 Jenkins Road in Brazil, will host three nights of revival services from Wednesday, July 22, through Friday, July 24, at 7 each day. All are invited.

Calvary Food Pantry to distribute
Calvary Food Pantry, at 36 Ward-Riddick Road, just east of Parchman off Highway 32, will distribute food from 8-9 a.m. Saturday, July 25, for those living in the West Tallahatchie area and in Sunflower County outside the city limits of Drew (which has its own food pantry). Food pantry distribution is normally on the next-to-last Saturday of each month, but this month it was delayed by one week because delivery of food to the pantry itself was delayed. Pantry officials apologize.

Faith Food Pantry, located at 30028 Highway 32, Charleston, will distribute food from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25. Hitt Chapel sets women’s event
Evangelist Debra Hall, of Hitt Chapel Rebirth church, will host a Women’s Empowerment Conference on Saturday, July 25, starting at 10 a.m., at the Unity Event Center and Restaurant, 193 E. Main, Webb. There is a $20 conference fee, and dinner will be served. Speakers will include evangelist Lillie Holmes, minister Sharon Hurns, minister Denise Calhoun, minister Annette Walker and apostle Mary Davis.

Persimmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Enid will conduct a seven-year musician appreciation service for the state’s No. 1 player, Bro. Tony Johnson, on Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m. All are invited, noted pastor Andrew Fluker.
St. Luke homecoming program set
St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. J.H. Brown is pastor, will host their annual homecoming program on Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m. Speaker for the occasion will be the Rev. Robert Myers. Dinner will be served immediately after the morning worship service. All are invited to attend.

Sandy Bayou Missionary Baptist Church, located 5½ miles southwest of Webb, invite the public to their three-night revival, Wednesday, July 29, through Friday, July 31, at 7 o’clock. Pastor Mario Cooper will bring the message. The public is invited to attend.

Willow Springs plans center benefit
Willow Springs Assembly of God Church, located on Pope-Crowder Road, will cook up a fundraiser meal on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., with all proceeds benefitting the Charleston Recovery Center in Charleston.
