My grandsons love deer season.
I always tell them I would love to hunt with them and there are only two reasons that I choose not to: (1) I’m too old and slowed down to walk the woods and (2) I could never bring myself to actually shoot one of the beautiful animals (and besides that, I saw the movie Bambi years ago).

It’s slightly cooler this morning as I take my favorite seat on the back porch, an old rocker that squeaks and screeches as I rock back and forth. I am slightly a little earlier than usual this morning as the clock on my wall says it’s 7:30 and my body tells me it’s 8:30, just as it should be.

Here we are in time with the “Devil’s holiday” — Halloween. I have some conflicting and differing thoughts about this holiday.
When our children were growing up, we never celebrated the holiday with any paranormal, eerie or unearthly thoughts. We never acclaimed nor observed any kind of “devil worship” or sacrifices.
