A former deputy clerk with the Tallahatchie County tax assessor and collector’s office pleaded guilty Monday to one count of embezzlement.
Essie Adams, 42, of 309 Pine St., Lambert, was sentenced to five years, all suspended, while being ordered to serve 18 months of supervised probation.
