The month of February is almost over and the March winds will begin.
I hope all of you ladies received lots of chocolates and you men received a nice bouquet of flowers.
Love and sympathy to the Janie Deck Macke family of Glenn Allen, Missouri. Jane was a first cousin to my husband, David.
Love and sympathy to the Kenny Carvan family of Enid. Kenny passed away Feb. 13. He had an awesome sense of humor and back when he was younger, he was full of fun. I haven’t seen Kenny in many years, but I’ll always remember his sweet smile and personality.
Love and sympathy to the Susan Caruthers McAmmon family. Susan passed away Saturday, Feb. 15.
Son Logan Deck of Gluckstadt came Wednesday on his way to Mark‘s for a business meeting and brought our lunch. We had a short but nice visit.
Debbie McCool said they had a great weekend. They left for Alabama Saturday morning, where Angela Dukes was giving her daughter, Allison, a baby shower at her house in Theodore, Alabama. They spent most of the day there after arriving around 12 noon. Deborah said they had a wonderful time. Pat and Angela had rented a beach house on Dolphin Island and they stayed the night with them before heading home Sunday morning.
Diane and Kathy Dukes, Jake and Roseanne Rose and boys, John Luke and Logan, were there, too. Diane had a beautiful beach house right on the beach. She and Tommy had a great time and Allison really got lots of things for their first great-grandbaby.
Doris Hoop had her 13th surgery on her hip last week. Doris, I pray this will be your lucky 13th surgery and that you will heal safe and fast. Tell Barry I said to wait on you hand and foot.

I pray you all have a blessed day!
Recipe for the week: “Crock-Pot Chicken Pot Pie”
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 or 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 Bag frozen mixed veggies
1/4 cup sour cream
Salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika
Add chicken, chicken broth, frozen veggies and cream of chicken soup to your Crock-Pot and cook on low for 3 or 4 hours.
Make sure the chicken is done. Then shred it and put it back into the Crock-Pot and mix in the sour cream.
Serve this over store-bought or home-cooked biscuits.
Thought for the day: “Whatever you do, always give 100% — unless you’re giving blood.”
