A Charleston minor is charged as an adult and faces four counts of aggravated assault in connection with a recent shooting.
Ladarrius L. Tellis, 17, of 1355 Eskridge St., also is charged with shooting at a motor vehicle during his alleged commission of the assaults.
Arrested April 19, Tellis was released after posting bond of $50,000 the following day, said Tallahatchie County Sheriff Jimmy Fly.
Tellis allegedly fired at a passing vehicle during an April 10 incident on Eskridge Street just outside the Charleston city limits.
A 16-year-old passenger, one of four males in the car, was shot once in the leg during the attack and was airlifted to a Memphis hospital.
According to the initial report, Fly said the gunman was seen standing in a yard along the street at a location that was near 1391 Eskridge. Investigators recovered 10 shell casings — a mixture of .40-caliber and 9 mm, indicating the shooter likely had two pistols.
No weapon has been recovered, Fly said Tuesday.
