After long months of politicking and posturing by local political candidates, the focus shifts to the voters in Tuesday’s Aug. 8 Democratic and Republican primaries.
The polls at all 21 county voting precincts will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Saturday (Aug. 5) will be the last day for in-person absentee voting. Circuit clerk offices in Charleston and Sumner, and their counterparts across the state, will be open from 8 a.m. until noon Aug. 5 for last-minute absentee balloting.
