The Sun-Sentinel has been notified of at least one early hiccup in local voting. According to an email submitted by a voter at 7:54 a.m., a voting machine access card that was supposed to be programmed for the Democratic Party primary was instead programmed as a Republican ballot at the Sumner District 2 precinct, located in the Emmett Till Interpretive Center.
The email noted that the voter was permitted to vote by affidavit ballot while poll workers "were on the phone trying to figure out how to fix the problem."
A composite sample ballot, featuring all races appearing on the various ballots in Tallahatchie County, is attached as a PDF, as is a voting precinct chart featuring the locations of all 21 election precincts in the county.
