The Charleston High School Tigers skated to a 50-8 win over the Walnut Wildcats during a first-round state playoff game Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers scored twice within a 20-second timeframe to begin the game, first on a quarterback flush that resulted in a safety at 10:26, then on a 37-yard touchdown run by Marcus "Deuce" Flowers with 10:06 on the clock.
Charleston was up 24-0 by the end of the first quarter and 38-0 at the half.
Charleston, which improved to 9-2 overall, will host the now 4-7 Philadelphia Tornadoes in a second-round playoff game Friday, Nov. 10.
Philadelphia advanced by smacking the Water Valley Blue Devils 48-15 at Water Valley Friday night. Water Valley finished the campaign at 4-7.
