TUTWILER — Three Tallahatchie County men have been bound over to the grand jury for their alleged roles in a triple shooting outside an apartment complex here.
Tutwiler Municipal Court Clerk Lashanda Harris confirmed Tuesday that Ketterick Cox, 26, of 1332 Sharkey Road, Glendora; Albert Wells, 40, of Grayson Hale Estates, Apt. 16, Tutwiler; and Jerry Seamster, 31, of 302 Downs Circle, Sumner, all of whom are charged with aggravated assault in the case, were recently bound over to await possible grand jury action.
Investigation in the wake of the May 7 early-afternoon shooting at Grayson Hale Estates, 173 Grayson Hale St., Tutwiler, produced the three primary suspects from the outset, and Tutwiler Police Department investigator Charles Dixon recently confirmed their arrests over a period of seven weeks.
Tutwiler Police Chief Marion Bedford said in May that three males, one of them a resident of the apartments, and two visitors sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in the incident.
Bedford noted that numerous .40-caliber shell casings were recovered at the scene.
The Tallahatchie County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and district attorney’s office have assisted Tutwiler police.
