WEBB — The West Tallahatchie High School Lady Choctaws will travel to face the McAdams Lady Bulldogs in a Mississippi High School Activities Association second-round basketball playoff game on Friday night (Feb. 14). Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
The two teams did not meet during the regular season.
McAdams, the Region 6-1A champion, is 19-10 on the campaign and is coming off a 56-24 win over Mount Olive in first-round state playoff action on Monday night.
West Tally, meanwhile, the Region 5-1A runner-up, is 14-8 overall and fresh off a 62-26 beatdown of the Salem Lady Wildcats in a first-round playoff contest Monday night in Webb. The 62 points were the most scored this season by the Lady Choctaws.
The winner of Friday night’s McAdams/West Tally matchup will advance to a third-round playoff game on Wednesday, Feb. 19, during which they will face the victor of Friday night’s contest featuring the 9-11 South Delta Lady Bulldogs at the 19-13 Taylorsville Tartars.

In the district tournament last week at West Bolivar High School in Rosedale, the Lady Choctaws defeated South Delta 47-38 in a Thursday night game to advance to the district championship on Friday, where they lost a 63-48 decision to Simmons.
During the regular season, head coach Roderick Hawkins’ Lady Choctaws lost a pair of games to South Delta, 55-44 on Dec. 17 and 64-34 on Jan. 17.
The West Tally ladies did not face Taylorsville during the regular season.
