The Oakland Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Danica Hart, formerly of the nationally recognized country trio Chapel Hart, will headline the 2026 Yalo-Ribbon Festival in Oakland on Saturday, May 2.
With the addition of Hart and growing regional interest in the event, festival organizers have moved this year’s celebration to the James Riley Swearengen Walking Track and Park, providing more space for music, vendors and family activities. The park is located at 61 Walnut Street, in Oakland.
The Yalo-Ribbon Festival runs from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering an afternoon of small-town fun and live entertainment. The festival opens at 2 with arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, a Kid Zone, and the now-traditional Oakland cake walk. Throughout the afternoon, visitors will enjoy curated music from a festival DJ along with live performances culminating with Danica Hart’s headline appearance.
Hart gained national attention as part of the country trio Chapel Hart, whose energetic performances and modern country sound earned widespread recognition from audiences across the country. Her appearance at the Yalo-Ribbon Festival brings a nationally known voice to one of North Mississippi’s most charming community celebrations.

This year, the festival kicks off Oakland’s America250 Celebration and Hart will perform patriotic music in addition to her regular concert.
Oakland received a grant from the Mississippi Humanities Council and the America250 Mississippi Commission to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Festival admission is free, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the music and festivities at the park.
