By Eddie Smith
MSU Extension Service
There’s something special about a garden that tells a story. I recently found one in the most unexpected place.
My visit to the Greenwood Cemetery in Jackson offered a reminder that beauty can thrive anywhere, even among headstones and quiet paths.

Lemons
Flemming Article
I love anything lemon flavored. Lemons are so clean and citrusy, as well as delicious. Some of my very favorite desserts are from the lemon family. When I was a child, Luvel had a Lemon Flake ice cream that I adored. It had flecks of lemon drop candy in the yellow tinted vanilla ice cream. Lemon Ice Box pie is my all time favorite. My friends and family really seem to enjoy my Lemon Bars, as well as my Lemon Mini Tarts.
In addition to being a delicious flavor, lemons also have many uses around the house.

Spiritual decline is not typically an overnight phenomenon. The life of devotion suffers when the “salt” of gracelessness poisons our foundation.

Robert St. John says when you’re his age, travel makes you stop counting the days and just count the trips.
Seven weeks ago, I stood in snow 200 miles above the Arctic Circle in Tromso, Norway watching the sky turn green. Tomorrow I will stand on a cliff in the Algarve 200 miles above Africa, looking at the last stretch of the Atlantic before it runs east to Gibraltar.
In between was Tuscany, three groups, an Easter off, and a suitcase packed for three seasons in two months.
