West Tallahatchie High School and R.H. Bearden Elementary School have announced special honorees.
Mr. WTHS is Jamerius Johnson, the son of Latonya Johnson and Andy Ranson of Webb. His hobbies include online gaming, playing football, working out and spending time with his family. After high school, he plans to attend Mississippi State University and become a truck driver.
Miss WTHS is Tanyla Washington, the daughter of Tywanda Garner and Kelvin Washington of Webb. In her spare time, she likes playing basketball, cheering, running and playing volleyball. After graduation, her goal is to attend college and focus on general studies.
Miss R. H. Bearden is Queen Dahlia Holman, the daughter of Cherri Sumner and David Holman of Tutwiler. A creative and spirited young lady, she enjoys braiding hair, drawing, watching TikTok and spending time with her dog, Chloe. Dahlia plans to attend The Reservation of Alcorn State University, where she will major in Nursing. With her determination and compassion, she aspires to become a Registered Nurse.
Mr. R. H. Bearden is Master Martavarrion Thomas, the son of Lashundra Thomas and Alfonso Hodges of Glendora. A talented and driven young man, he enjoys playing football and the drums during his spare time. With great ambition for the future, Martavarrion plans to attend Ohio State University to major in Geology or Integrative Biology. He aspires to become a Paleontologist, uncovering the mysteries of Earth’s past.
