Charleston and West Tallahatchie high schools recently crowned homecoming royalty.
West Tallahatchie High School was the first to hold homecoming festivities, on Friday, Oct. 17. There, Janyla Bailey was crowned as Miss Homecoming during halftime festivities.
Janyla is the daughter of Shonnan Montgomery and Michael Bailey Sr., who escorted her. She enjoys working, listening to music and watching television. Bailey plans to attend the University of Mississippi, pursuing her bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences.
Charleston High School conducted its homecoming celebration on Friday, Oct. 24. There, Tambria Price was crowned as homecoming queen.
The daughter of Sherika Price and James Taylor, Tambria was escorted by Trentice Sparks. She enjoys working and spending time with her friends. Price plans to attend the University of Mississippi to study dentistry. Her eventual goal is to open a dentist’s office in Charleston.
