On Saturday, Sept. 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Calvary Chapel of Parchman will reopen its W.D. and Earline Kirk Family Life Center for the 2024-25 school year, with plans to have it open at least every third Saturday.
Everyone is welcome, especially church groups. Church groups must provide their own chaperones. Entry is $1 for each child, and there is no fee for chaperones. Whole families are invited to come, and parents are encouraged to be with their children.
Activities include roller skating, basketball and table games. Though the facility has a limited number of skates available for skaters, it is suggested that, if possible, each child bring their own skates. If demand warrants, the facility may be open at other times during the month, and with longer hours.
The Family Life Center is located at Calvary Chapel of Parchman, 36 Ward-Riddick Road, seven-tenths of a mile east of the Mississippi State Penitentiary’s front gate, on the road between Parchman and Webb.
