The Mississippi Department of Public Safety on Tuesday revealed the names of four more individuals who have been arrested on drug-related charges as part of a recent multi-agency roundup.
The latest to be arrested are:
» Demandrick Hayes, 29, of 307 N. Pleasant St., Charleston, on a charge of sale of methamphetamine
» Brenda Hunt, 46, of 195 E. Third St., Crowder, on a charge of sale of methamphetamine
» Carl Lamonta Johnson, 29, of 116 Garrett Ave., Webb, on two counts of sale of methamphetamine
» Demetrius Aundrate Means, 43, of 18 First St., Charleston, on a charge of sale of cocaine
On Sept. 9, agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service, sheriff’s departments in Tallahatchie, Quitman and Yalobusha counties, and the Charleston Police Department, arrested 17 individuals, most from Tallahatchie County, on a variety of federal and state charges. In Tallahatchie, one additional person was arrested on a local indictment, according to Tallahatchie County Sheriff Jimmy Fly.
Agents seized 5 pounds of methamphetamine, 300 dosage units of methamphetamine and 4 ounces of cocaine, officials noted.
