Hello, from our TGH Extended Care family!
Our residents have been enjoying soaking up some of this warm weather with music and popcorn in our beautiful courtyard. Residents enjoy the feeling of the sunshine and fresh air on these sunny days.
Community bingo on Tuesday nights has also been something we have such a fun time doing. This is supported by so many of our local churches, organizations and community volunteers who come in on Tuesday nights and play a few games of bingo with our residents.
Along with them, we have such a supportive community of local churches who step up monthly to provide church services on Sundays for our residents. We are so appreciative of everyone, from our staff to the outside community, who continues to make TGH ECF what it is for our residents.
We would also like to give a big thank you to the Veterans of Foreign Wars trust and the trustees who continue to see over it. Yearly, we are given a donation by them to use toward the residents. Donations like this enable us to take residents out to eat. For example, some of our men and women got to enjoy a nice meal in Grenada at Applebee’s. We also are able to provide outside vendors like snow cone trucks for the 4th of July, and even basic hygiene and clothing needs. We truly are so grateful for this and how much it goes toward the care of our residents.
The most important thing all of this does for our residents is let them know that they are thought of by so many outside of our facility, and for that, thank you everyone!
