Food pantries at Calvary Chapel, Parchman, and Faith Baptist Church, Charleston, have changed their schedules.
Pantries will now be held on the next-to-last Saturday in each month. For many years, pantries have been scheduled for the third Saturday.
Mississippi Food Network has changed its delivery schedule, which delays arrival of food for distribution until after the third Saturday. In February, for example, no food will be delivered to the two pantries until four days after the third Saturday.
In most months, the next-to-last Saturday is also the third Saturday.
This will still provide a pantry date before Thanksgiving and Christmas.
