The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Tallahatchie County, in effect until 1 this afternoon.
Freezing rain and sleet will continue across the Mid-South into the early afternoon, the NWS reported.
Additional ice accumulations of "a light glaze" are forecast, potentially causing slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges, the weather agency added.

Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution while driving.
Sumner firefighter Corey Gee reported shortly before 9 a.m. that electricity was out in Tutwiler due to "trees on power lines in Dublin," and the NWS said additional power outages are possible.
Later, Gee noted that power was out on Friendship Road near Sumner. After a request went out, Gee said Sumner Fire Department provided a generator for a home where a man was on an oxygen machine.
