Economic conversations across Charleston continue becoming more connected, future-focused, and community-driven.
The Charleston Thrives Economic Opportunity Working Group is helping bring residents, leaders, and partners together around conversations connected to business growth, redevelopment, workforce opportunity, and Charleston’s long term economic future.
One visible conversation currently underway is the possible development of a Charleston Chamber of Commerce designed to support local businesses, partnerships, and economic growth.
The group is also strengthening grant readiness and funding systems that could help Charleston pursue additional infrastructure support, redevelopment opportunities, and future investment.
Another important focus area is storytelling.
The way Charleston tells its story matters.
Efforts are underway to strengthen Charleston’s economic identity and position the community for future investment, tourism, business attraction, and opportunity.
Conversations also continue around workforce exposure and helping local youth better understand future career pathways available to them.
Momentum grows when people begin seeing possibility together.
