Visible Signs of Progress
What helps people believe positive momentum is possible?
Across Charleston, residents are continuing to see visible signs of community momentum taking shape.
The Charleston Thrives Government & Civic Engagement Working Group is focused on strengthening communication, livability, community pride and resident engagement across the city.
Cleanup efforts, property clearing, infrastructure improvements and beautification conversations are helping create safer, stronger and more welcoming spaces across Charleston.
At the same time, website updates, public information efforts and communication improvements are helping residents stay more informed and connected.
Another idea currently under exploration is a shared community calendar that could help residents more easily discover events, meetings, activities and opportunities happening across Charleston.
The group is also exploring future signage, communication tools and conversations around neighborhood safety infrastructure.
Visible progress matters because it helps people feel connected to where they live.
It helps communities feel cared for.
And it reminds residents that shared momentum can continue growing over time.
Charleston continues building that momentum together.
If you see progress happening across Charleston, we hope you will share it with me and with each other.
