The eighth edition of the Charleston Mayor’s Charity Ball is set for Saturday, March 30, at 6 p.m., Mayor Sedrick Smith Sr. announced Monday.
The location is yet to be determined and will be announced later, he added. Since its inception, the ticketed event, a black-tie gala benefiting the American Cancer Society, has been held in Alford’s Gym on the campus of Charleston Middle School.
It usually features a buffet-style meal, a formal program of speakers and live musical entertainment.
