Rotary's 'Toys for Tots' benefits more than six-dozen local children

This year's distribution provides backpacks with age- and gender-appropriate toys, games and more to make the Christmas of many local children brighter.

Sumner's Christmas Eve fireworks show set for Tuesday the 24th

SUMNER — The annual Christmas Eve fireworks show will illuminate the skies over Cassidy Bayou here on Tuesday, Dec. 24.
Despite a National Weather Service forecast calling for about a 60% chance of rain showers, the show will go on, said Mayor Jackson Webb.
