A Tallahatchie County grand jury for the 1st Judicial District recently indicted a Tillatoba man on a charge of killing his girlfriend.
Tracy Lee Jenkins Jr., 27, of 357 Mount Olive Road, is charged with first-degree murder in the April 2018 shooting death of 25-year-old Brandi Hunt of Crowder.
Hunt suffered a single gunshot wound to the head during a supposed domestic incident outside the Marshall Street Apartments complex near Charleston, where she and Jenkins were said to be visiting.
The grand jury for the 1st Judicial District also handed down many other indictments April 16, according to records on file Tuesday at the circuit clerk’s office in Charleston.
» Elroy Evans Jr., 26, address unavailable, was indicted on a charge of felony fleeing with injury for a Dec. 17, 2018, incident in which he allegedly sped away from a Charleston police officer who was trying to pull him over, causing bodily injury to a pedestrian.
» Robert Lee Fane, 50, of 436 Rosalind St., Charleston, was indicted on a charge of burglary of a building other than a dwelling, for an Aug. 27, 2018, crime in which a Charleston mechanic shop was broken into.
» Orlando Suggs, 37, of 576 Oakland Enid Road, Oakland, was indicted on charges of fondling and sexual battery in connection with a September 2018 incident involving a minor between the ages of 14 and 16 years.
» Abram Traevon Suggs, 20, of 977 Oakland Enid Road, Oakland, was indicted on a charge of statutory rape in an October 2018 case involving a minor between 14 and 16 years of age.
» Larry Wayne McGee Jr., 50, of 250 Bethel Road, Enid, was indicted for burglary of a dwelling and grand larceny (valued at $5,000 to $25,000) in connection with an August 2018 burglary.
» Stacy Best, 48, address unavailable, was named in a two-count indictment charging burglary of a dwelling and grand larceny (valued at $5,000 to $25,000) stemming from an August 2018 burglary.
» Indicted in the same case in connection with a November incident in which a variety of tools valued at $4,190 were stolen, were Patrick G. Browning, 31; Dalton D. Pruitt, 25; and Gloria Copeland, aka Gloria Griffin and aka Gloria Huchens, 29, whose addresses were unavailable. The trio were named in identical three-count indictments for conspiracy, burglary of a building other than a dwelling, and grand larceny (valued at $1,000 to $5,000).
» Gabriel Estridge, age and address unavailable, was indicted on charges of aggravated domestic violence, felony malicious mischief (valued at $1,000 to $5,000), and simple assault, stemming from a Feb. 18, 2018, incident in which Estridge allegedly tried to strangle a former girlfriend, caused damage to her vehicle and pushed another female to the ground.
» Rosalind Renae Wells, age and address unavailable, was indicted on charges of insurance fraud and wire fraud involving 2017 and 2018 incidents in which she allegedly defrauded an Oxford home health agency for which she was then employed by filing false documentation about supposed visits and services she had provided to a patient.
» Antonio Winters, 38, address unavailable, was named in a three-count indictment charging him with possession of cocaine (at least 2 grams but less than 10 grams), firearm enhanced; armed robbery; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Winters allegedly attempted to take an automobile on Oct. 13, 2018, while he had in his possession a .357 magnum and cocaine. Records show that Winters is charged as an habitual offender due to previous convictions for grand larceny and drug-related offenses.
» Bryan M. Vanderford, 33, address unavailable, was named in a four-count indictment charging him with burglary of a building other than a dwelling, grand larceny (valued at $1,000 to $5,000), unlawful taking of a motor vehicle (valued at $5,000 to $25,000) and arson. On Feb. 13, 2019, Vanderford allegedly broke into an equipment shop near Charleston, stole tools, swiped a Ford pickup from the property and then later set fire to the truck.
» Harley Pritchard, 25, address unavailable, was indicted on a charge of the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle stemming from the Jan. 8, 2019, theft of an SUV.
» Travarius Love, 25, address unavailable, was indicted on a charge of possession of methamphetamine (two dosage units but less than 10 units) and allegedly possessing a .38 caliber pistol.
» Rico Harvey, 31, address unavailable, was indicted on a charge of possession of marijuana (more than 30 grams but less than 1 kilo) with intent to sale for an Aug. 24, 2018, incident.
» John Ellett II, 46, address unavailable, was indicted on a charge of uttering forgery for an Aug. 7, 2018, incident during which he allegedly represented as authentic, a counterfeit check in the amount of $3,432.25. Ellett is charged as an habitual offender due to previous convictions of drug and DUI offenses.
» Antwan Hill, 19, address unavailable, was indicted on a charge of burglary of a building other than a dwelling for the Sept. 28, 2018, burglary of a store.
» Gevonte Jones, 22, address unavailable, was indicted for felony fleeing in connection with an Oct. 18, 2018, incident in which he allegedly sped away from a Charleston police officer who was trying to pull him over.
» Reginald A. Brown, 44, of 293 Depot St., Charleston, was indicted on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for a Feb. 21, 2019, incident in which he allegedly had in his possession a 9 mm pistol. Brown was previously convicted for the sale of cocaine.
» Robert Earl Brooks, 46, address unavailable, was indicted on a charge of attempted burglary of a vehicle in a Jan. 25, 2018, incident. He is charged as an habitual offender due to previous convictions in Tallahatchie County for burglary of an auto and grand larceny.
» Daniel Bess, 49, and Wanda Singley, 43, whose addresses were not in court files, were indicted in the same case charging them with conspiracy and burglary of a building other than a dwelling in an Aug. 15, 2018, case.
» Charged in a Dec. 7, 2018, case are Christopher T. McGee, 32, of 1031 Mudline Road, Enid; Lauren A. Marberry, 19, address unavailable; and Gloria Copeland, aka Gloria Griffin and aka Gloria Huchens, 29, address unavailable. The three are named in identical two-count indictments charging them with conspiracy and accessory after the fact for allegedly concealing and/or assisting a man who court records say had committed burglary of a building.
