SUMNER — The annual Fall Harvest Festival is set for Saturday (Oct. 26) on Court Square.
A 5K race gets underway at 9, with registration at 8:30. The event, sponsored by the Sumner Health Council’s iWalk Sumner Initiative, entails a registration fee of $10 for individuals or $20 per family. Participants may run, walk, cycle or push strollers.
From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., there will be children’s crafts and games, face painting, cake walks (50 cents), bounce houses (wristbands for unlimited play are $2), vendors, a Tallahatchie General Hospital wellness booth and a performance by the West Tallahatchie High School band.
A “Strutt Your Mutt” event featuring dogs in Halloween attire starts at 1 p.m., with registration at 12:30. Proceeds go to the Clarksdale Animal Rescue Effort and Shelter.
Beginning at 7 p.m., live music will feature the Tony Manard Band. RSVP Judith Mitchener at 662-375-4333 to reserve a special table near the bands for $50.
