Three men have been sentenced to serve eight years each in connection with a February 2018 shooting, according to records on file Tuesday in the circuit clerk’s office in Charleston.
Antonio Maurico Carr, 23, and Quatenous Keshawn Carr, 18, both of 114 Star St., Greenwood, and Shaquille D. Price, 20, of 2710 Tippo Road, Charleston, recently entered pleas of guilty to a charge of aggravated assault stemming from the incident, which involved shooting into an occupied vehicle.
During the April 11 vacation term of Tallahatchie County Circuit Court, Circuit Judge Jimmy McClure sentenced all three men separately but equally.
Each was sentenced to 20 years — eight to be served, followed by 12 years of post-release supervision (five years reporting and seven non-reporting) — and was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000, court costs of $421 and a crime victim’s compensation fund fee of $400.
Each sentence, McClure stipulated, is to run concurrent to a sentence to be imposed in a separate Leflore County criminal case.
The three men had a second charge of drive-by shooting remanded to court files.
