WEBB — West Tallahatchie High School will issue diplomas or certificates to 38 seniors during graduation ceremonies scheduled for Saturday.
West Tally’s commencement exercises will get underway at 10 a.m. inside the school auditorium.
Kayla Little of Glendora, the daughter of Shonnan Montgomery and the late Andy Little Sr., is the valedictorian of this year’s graduating class.
Trinidy Hazzard, the daughter of Alonzo Davis III and Tarsha Hazzard, is the school’s salutatorian.
Former WTHS principal and alumnus Lawrence Hudson will be the special guest speaker for the May 18 ceremonies, according to school spokesperson Tawanda Shannon.
In addition to Little and Hazzard, West Tally honor graduates this year, Shannon said, include Antoinequa Johnson, Tarraneshia Miller, Jarvis Horton, Lula Slaughter, Devon Hooper, Nickaila Croft, Chandriqua Garner, Jakalyn Moore, Shaundrekia Madden and Corleshia Young.
Charleston High School is scheduled to conduct graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 24, starting at 7 p.m., in the Morgan Freeman Auditorium on campus. More information will be forthcoming next week.
