Our book for August was for “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” by Zora Neal Hurston.
The first edition of this book was written in 1937. This is a love story told by a woman with wit, beauty and heartfelt wisdom who refuses to live in sorrow, bitterness, fear or foolish romantic dreams.
This is true of strong women today. Also, this book was made into a movie. I would like you to read the book or see the movie, and see which one you like the best.
Our book for September is called “The Keeper of Happy Endings” by Barbara Davis. Read and enjoy. Everyone deserves a happy ending.
