West Tallahatchie cancels fall sports

The grass turf of Choctaw Stadium in Webb will see no pigskin action this fall, West Tallahatchie High School head football coach Lorenzo Pimpton confirmed Wednesday.

Pimpton said the West Tallahatchie School District's Board of Trustees made the decision at their regular meeting Tuesday night.

Community colleges to begin football season late

The presidents of the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges (MACC) met Friday, July 24, and voted to delay the start of the 2020 fall football season to Oct. 1.

The 2020 football season will consist of a six-game regular season with divisional play only and will conclude with a playoff.
