Tigers take down Vikings in second round

The Charleston High School Tigers continued their march through the Class 3A playoffs Friday by knocking off the North Pontotoc Vikings, 49-15, in a second-round game at home.

Next up, CHS (11-2) will host the Yazoo County Panthers (9-3) in the third round of the postseason tournament. Kickoff Friday night is at 7.

West Tally edged in first-round playoff at O'Bannon

GREENVILLE — The West Tallahatchie Choctaws lost a 22-20 nail-biter in first-round playoff action here Friday night.

West Tally ends the season at 7-5 while Greenville O’Bannon improves to 11-1.

“We played hard,” said WTHS head coach Lorenzo Pimpton, lauding his team.
