The Charleston Arts and Revitalization Effort (CARE), which stages the annual Gateway to the Delta Festival in the city, has revealed the T-shirt and poster art design for this year’s event.
“Oxford artist Pam Locke and printers ScreenCo of New Albany again designed and printed a beautiful festival shirt,” said CARE Executive Director Dana Clolinger.
“We are excited to offer additional opportunities to purchase the shirt, poster, raffle tickets and other Gateway items this year,” she added.
Festival T-shirts will sell for $25 and posters for $20.
The 14th Gateway festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, around Charleston’s courthouse square. It begins at 10 a.m.
This largest festival in Tallahatchie County boasts a fun run/walk; arts and crafts and other booths galore; food trucks; class reunion tents; a Kids Zone featuring children’s inflatables, a country petting zoo, games and other activities; car show; children’s pageant; the “Smoochin’ Scissors” pig-kissing contest; award presentations; live musical enter-tainment throughout the day and into the night, and more.
Admission is free.
