The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed three more lives in Tallahatchie County within the past week, raising the total local virus-related death toll to 31 people.
The Mississippi State Department of Health announced one local death as part of its Dec. 27 daily report, another on Dec. 29 and a third on Dec. 31.
