Tallahatchie County’s unemployment rate rose from 6.3% in June to 6.4% in July, according to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
In July, 360 Tallahatchians were unemployed, and 5,160 employed, from a local labor force totaling 5,520. The labor force consists of everyone who has a job or is actively looking for one.
