Five shot, one killed, in Saturday morning domestic incident

A sunny spring morning turned tragic Saturday when five people were shot in an apparent domestic incident at a residence in south central Tallahatchie County.

Tallahatchie County Sheriff Jimmy Fly said four people were injured and one was pronounced dead at the scene, all from gunshots.

Buckley named state All-Star by Clarion Ledger

Charleston High School sophomore powerlifter Keely Buckley (above) was named Monday to The Clarion Ledger’s All-State girls’ powerlifting squad as a second-team honoree. She was one of only 24 young ladies from all public school classifications in Mississippi to earn a powerlifting All-State nod from the Jackson newspaper.
