I awoke Thursday morning, during a nice slow rain in cooler temperatures. And after getting all my laundry done, I couldn’t make my mind up if I wanted to go back to bed or crochet. I think the bed won.
I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.
Our friend, Larry Franklin of Hardy, visited with us Wednesday. We always enjoy Larry’s visit. I gave him two cans of plums and told him to make Cheryl, his wife, a plum cobbler. He said she didn’t like plums, but I told him she would love them in a cobbler. He said he would let me know so we will see.
Love and sympathy to the Michael Gene Jaco family. Michael was 55. He passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 27, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Batesville.
It was great seeing my granddaughter, Miranda, and Summer Procella of Covington, Georgia, Friday. They don’t get to visit very long when they come but vacation time will be here before long and they can relax and enjoy being home with family.
Starting off our September birthdays was sweet Elena Young, and she shared it with Tommy Parker on the 1st, while Jack Bowman and Annette Ford celebrated on the 2nd and Susan Howe the 3rd. Happy birthday to grandson Waylon Dukes and Hannah Beavers, who celebrate the 5th; to Nick Knowles and Aaron Poynor on the 7th; and to Emily Tillman Donovan and Nancy Kirk on the 8th. I hope all of you have a fabulous time celebrating your special day.

Thought for the day: It’s not my age that bothers me but the sounds it makes when I get up out of bed.
