GLENDORA — A second person has been charged with murder in connection with a December shooting death in the village.
Roddarius Moss, 20, of 154 Gipson Ave., Apt. 2, was arrested Monday afternoon, said Tallahatchie County Sheriff Jimmy Fly.
He is being held at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility in Tutwiler on a bond of $800,000 set by Justice Judge Denise Washington-Lockett, the sheriff explained.
Moss is charged in the Dec. 23 early-morning killing of Kwaiyhone Hodges, 20, of 24 Gipson Ave., Apt. 5. His body was found lying in the street on Gipson Avenue, near the Village Apartments where he lived, around 2 a.m.
Hodges had been shot once in the head area, and a 9 mm shell casing was recovered from the scene, Fly added.
Dyiesha Janaee Spraggin, 19, of 135 King Road, Vance, was arrested Feb. 17 near Webb and charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the case.
Washington-Lockett set Spraggin’s bond at $400,000.
Fly stipulated that Moss has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Hodges’ death.
No murder weapon has been recovered, the sheriff said Monday.
As for a possible motive, Fly said, “We believe that there was some type of dispute involving the parties.”
The Tallahatchie County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Glendora Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation with the case.
