SUMNER — During the recent open House at R.H. Bearden Elementary School, the West Tallahatchie Community School Committee introduced the upcoming West Tallahatchie Food Pantry and Closet, which will be located at R.H. Bearden Elementary School.
Committee members shared a variety of items that will be available through the pantry and closet and invited parents and community members to offer suggestions for needed resources.
Feedback was collected to help ensure that the pantry and closet become a useful and purposeful hub of support for families throughout the West Tallahatchie area.
The West Tallahatchie Food Pantry and Closet would like to thank all the parents who stopped by the table during open house and shared their feedback and suggestions.
The committee also extends its sincere appreciation to Sumner Presbyterian Church, Matt Hackworth, Church World Service, Extra Table and the teachers and administrators of the West Tallahatchie School District for their support.
