Across rural communities in the South, many entrepreneurs have the ideas, the work ethic, and the vision to build successful businesses. What they often lack is access to capital.
Communities Unlimited (CU), a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), is working to change that by helping small business owners secure the financing they need to start, stabilize, or grow their businesses. CDFIs are mission-driven lenders that focus on investing in communities and entrepreneurs that traditional financial institutions sometimes overlook.
