The Jericho Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its pastor and first lady on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
Honorees will be Rev. and Mrs. Isaac Parks Sr. Rev. Terry I. Harris Sr., senior pastor of New Jerusalem Preparations and Worship Center, will deliver the anniversary sermon.
A revival will be held June 29 through July 1, 2026. Praise, meditation, and prayer service will be held nightly from 6 to 6:45 p.m., with revival services beginning at 7 p.m. each evening. The evangelist for the revival will be Rev. Terry I. Harris Sr.

Ricky Don Cook passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 72. He was born August 31, 1953, and lived life the only way he knew how, on his own terms.
Funeral services are Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko. Visitation is 9:30 am until 11:00 am. Burial will follow at North Union Cemetery in West, MS. Pastor Donald Self will officiate.

Michael James Esters, 69 of Kansas City, MO, peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on May 21, 2026, at Westwood Health and Rehabilitation in Springdale, Arkansas while holding the hand of his brother.
Born on August 24, 1956, in Dumas, Arkansas, Micheal was the son of the late Betty Croom-Wilson and Harvey Esters.
Michael’s laugh, love and life will be remembered and remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Charleston High School 2026 honor graduates Nakiya Cashaw, left, and Lemar Frost were awarded $500 each as recipients of the Norman Jean Bradford Scholarship.
The annual Norma Jean Bradford Scholarship, in the amount of $500, was awarded to a pair of Charleston High School Class of 2026 graduating seniors.
Both Nakiya Cashaw and Lemar Frost graduated with honors during recent CHS commencement exercises.
“They both had impressive GPAs and wrote excellent essays on continuing their education,” said Bradford. “I really enjoyed reading them.”
Cashaw will be attending Jackson State University and Frost, Mississippi Valley State University.
