2026 Youth Art Contest Winners Announced
JACKSON, MS – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ Visitor Education Center (VEC) received artwork from approximately 1,150 students across Mississippi for the 2026 Youth Art Contest.

The Jericho Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its pastor and first lady on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
Honorees will be Rev. and Mrs. Isaac Parks Sr. Rev. Terry I. Harris Sr., senior pastor of New Jerusalem Preparations and Worship Center, will deliver the anniversary sermon.
A revival will be held June 29 through July 1, 2026. Praise, meditation, and prayer service will be held nightly from 6 to 6:45 p.m., with revival services beginning at 7 p.m. each evening. The evangelist for the revival will be Rev. Terry I. Harris Sr.

MITCHELLVILLE, Ark. — The Mitchellville S.H.I.P. organization will host a Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Emily Bowen Drive in Mitchellville.
The event will celebrate the themes of Unity, Peace, and Freedom while bringing the community together for a day of education, entertainment, and fellowship.

WEBB — As part of the West Tallahatchie Community Schools Initiative, West Tallahatchie High School boys basketball head coach Corey Grayson organized and led a three-day Youth Basketball Camp that was held from 9-11 a.m. each day at the school.
The camp was a tremendous success, averaging 32 participants ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old.
Throughout the camp, students engaged in skill-building activities and friendly competition while learning fundamental basketball techniques, with a special emphasis on dribbling and ball-handling drills.
