Special to The Sun-Sentinel
In an effort to give many people an opportunity to “see” and hear a life-changing Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ, Calvary Chapel has packed Easter weekend with special services and practical ministry.
An hour before the 6:30 p.m. revival service on Good Friday evening, April 18, the church’s gym will be open for youth to play table games, basketball and more. Then, a service will begin with music, praise, prayers and a message from God’s Word. Joe Johnson, associate pastor at Faith Baptist Church in DeWitt, Arkansas, will bring the message.
On Saturday morning, April 19, from 7:30 to 9:30, the church will hold its regular food pantry serving the community, and at 5:30 p.m. there will be an Easter egg hunt on the church lawn.
All kids are welcome. Older youth can play in the gym. The revival service will begin at 6:30 p.m., and after a time of worship, Kevin Tribble, pastor at Bethany Baptist Church in Slate Springs, will bring the message.
Easter Sunday, on April 20, will be a day of worship, with the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Calvary Chapel. Steve Smith, a new minister from Grenada, will bring the message.
Everyone is invited to join in for a weekend in the spiritual and practical service of the Lord.
