First cotton blooms reported

The Goodwin farm family of near Charleston are the first to report the discovery of 2021 cotton blooms in Tallahatchie County.

Found Saturday, July 3, in a field south of Charleston, the blooms emerged from Deltapine variety 1646 cotton that was planted on May 2.
