Top litter collectors from each ward in Charleston received a $100 bill at the conclusion of Saturday’s “Trash for Cash” event, sponsored by the Charleston Rotary Club. Recognized as winners for picking up the most trash by weight are, from left, Ward 1’s Gyrone Kenniel, 267.25 pounds; Ward 2’s Mary Jo Long, 43.75 pounds; Kirstin Johnson, standing in for Ward 3’s Sedrick Smith, who turned in 122.25 pounds; and Ward 5’s Tripp Gregory, 70.5 pounds.
