The campaign kicked off with the third annual Month of May (MOM) Block Party and Women’s Health Expo. LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the Arkansas Department of Agriculture today announced more than $327,000 in state funding and more than $529,000 in local matching funds for six county projects through the Arkansas Unpaved Roads Program (AURP).
Each of the six projects receiving funding aim to protect water quality, enhance stormwater management, and improve drainage along Arkansas’ county roads.

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas drivers are paying higher gas costs at the pump, and a financial expert with the Cooperative Extension Service says some households may need to adjust their spending habits to accommodate increasing gas prices.
According to AAA, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Arkansas was $4.076 per gallon as of May 15. That’s up 44% from a year ago when gas prices averaged $2.818 a gallon.

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Beef Council has awarded $29,500 in grant funding to University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture researchers and educators for five projects, including the Beef Quality Assurance Program, a youth quiz bowl and more.
The Arkansas Beef Council approved $132,000 in funding for 13 proposed projects, including five from the Division of Agriculture. The application window for the funding was open from April 1-30 of this year.

Fireworks will light up the night as the City of Dumas hosts its annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show on Saturday, June 27, at Memorial Park.
The City of Dumas, in partnership with the Dumas Chamber of Commerce, Dumas Fire Department and Main Street Dumas, invites the community to an evening of family-friendly fun and entertainment.
